Winter Baseball Fun

Posted by Philipstown Little League on Jan 15 2018 at 12:23PM PST

Just a reminder we’re offering Skills, Drills, and Fun each Thursday night from 530-700p for students in grades 2-7. Just bring your glove, bat, helmet, and water. Each night we work on fundamental aspects of the game and scrimmage for fun. This is a drop off. It’s $1 per player, which is collected in the Rec office before you enter the gym. Also, if you’d like to volunteer your time and help with our Thursday night sessions, we’re always looking for parents who can lend a hand, whether you’ve got baseball skills or have no experience. This is a great opportunity for parents who’d like to learn how to support their kids’ game during the season, but aren’t sure how to help. If you’d like to volunteer, please email us at

Also on Sundays, starting January 28, Coach John Blair is offering his winter baseball clinics at the Rec. Coach Blair is a dynamic and insightful coaching force with a gift for motivation and instruction. An ideal teacher for any K-6 player. Register at

Mount Saint Mary College is also offering a morning baseball clinic with their coaching staff and varsity for players ages 7-13 on Sunday January 28. For more information, see the attached flyer.

Finally, Early Bird Little League registration continues for the upcoming 2018 season. We’re looking to field teams in Junior Minors, Minors, Majors, and this year — Girls Softball! Registration fees go up when the Early Bird period expires, so sign up today!

Thanks all
